Manure, when managed properly, can have a positive impact on agriculture. However, manure and wastewater from large hog operations have the potential to contribute pollutants such as nitrogen to the environment. Excess nutrients, including ammonia nitrogen, can result in or contribute to eutrophication and low levels of dissolved oxygen in nearby surface or ground water sources.
It is important that manure and wastewater from hog operations are managed to meet local water quality goals. Most locations in North America restrict the application of liquid manure to a few times per year and allow it only during certain seasons with nitrogen and/or phosphorous being the limiting factor. 3XRs
AmRhex provides the diversion of nitrogen required to manage liquid manure more effectively. When 3XRs
AmRHEX is coupled with other treatment, the potential exist for reclamation of water for reuse within the facility.
