Low Capital Cost. Expected capital cost is about 50% less than biological processes.

No biological processes. No inhibition, no nitrate formation and no carbon or alkalinity shortages for denitrification. No NOx greenhouse gas emissions.
Process stability. The AmRHEX physical-chemical process is not upset by inhibitors, poisons or growth rate limitations which often affect biological systems.
Flexible operation. The percentage of ammonia removed is independent of the inflow ammonia concentration.
Self monitoring. Microprocessor control allows the AmRHEX to automatically accomodate to variable or intermittent flows.
Aquatic Applications
Flexible configuration. AmRHEX is designed to be integrated as a unit process in a multi-process operation where it is complementary to other wastewater treatment processes.
Small reactor for high wastewater ammonia concentrations. The abiltiy to handle high concentrations offers great advantages over biological alternatives. High ammonia concentrations require proportionately larger biological reactors and aeration equipment. AmRHEX works most efficiently with ammonia concentrations greater than 200 mg/L.
CO2 and GHG reduction bonus of approximately 11 tonne CO2 creation avoided per tonne ammonia recovered and recycled .
